Welcome Coop

Welcome Coop is the service for the incoming of foreign delegations and study visits for discovering the Emilia-Romagna's Cooperative Movement.
Introducing Welcome Coop
A co-operative’s sustainability is built on three pillars and requires the balancing of social, economic, and environmental components. All of these values make a co-operative a special type of business, with strong links to its territory, to the local community and the protection of employment.
Emilia-Romagna, has been ‘the land of co-operation’ since the end of the 19th century and its economic and entrepreneurial fertility are proof that this type of social economy is truly entitled to continue providing business opportunities in this region.
Emilia-Romagna is one of Europe’s top regions in terms of its number of co-operatives and it certainly has far more co-operatives than any other region in Italy. Statistics indicate that just under one out of every two inhabitants is a member of at least one co-operative.
For this reason the Emilia-Romagna cooperative movement is recognized all over the world like a successful experience of cooperative development, with strong effects on the social and economic improvement of the territory.
Every year, the regional cooperative movement, both the enterprises and their associations, is involved in several activities of know-how transfer, hosting foreign delegations.
Moreover, Legacoop and its cooperatives lead or participate to international projects for cooperative's development and knowledge transfer.
Welcome Coop is the dedicated service to this purpose.
Welcome Coop organizes customized study visit programs that allow to understand and investigate the role and the services of Legacoop. The programs can be completed with visits to local cooperatives.
