We promote a culture of continuous learning
Enhancing the professional skills of members
Education is a fundamental component of the cooperative movement. It is a key aspect not only for developing professional and personal skills, but also for strengthening the sense of belonging. Legacoop follows the principle of “education, training, and information”: we are committed to promoting a culture of continuous learning, ensuring that workers are informed and play an active role in the economic, social, and cultural life of the cooperative. The role of education goes beyond technical training. It is a tool for transmitting the values of mutuality, solidarity, and democratic responsibility. Indeed, through various educational programs, members are encouraged to develop a deep understanding of cooperative principles, and leadership and decision-making skills are strengthened—both of which are essential elements to ensure effective governance for cooperatives.
Education on legality
Combating unlawful behavior, preventing corruption, protecting workers
Legacoop is particularly committed to education on legality, emphasizing the importance of integrity and honesty in relations among people, with institutions, and with the entire economic system. We educate cooperatives—and their representatives—to recognize, respond to, and report unlawful behavior, combat any relationship with criminal organizations, reject any form of extortion, and cooperate with law enforcement and institutions. Combating illegality means preserving the integrity and credibility of the cooperative world; it means strengthening trust among members, customers, and commercial partners, preventing corruption and undeclared labor, protecting workers’ rights, and ensuring safe working conditions—all fundamental aspects for maintaining social justice and collective well-being. Working within the law demonstrates social and ethical responsibility; it means adhering to transparent and legal practices that contribute to the economic and social development of the communities and territories in which we operate. For Legacoop, education is an essential investment in the future.
