Together with Coopfond and Prometeia, we want to draft a Position Paper that identifies current development trends as well as financial and support instruments for cooperative enterprises.
Together with national Legacoop, we have long collaborated with Prometeia, one of the leading consulting firms specializing in risk management, wealth management, asset management, and financial advisory services.
Thanks to this collaboration, we are able to produce tools that support analysis of cooperatives’ financial and market conditions. Today, however, in a period of great uncertainty and profound transformation, we need to take a further step to help cooperatives identify strategic scenarios and business projects.
It is necessary to identify the drivers of cooperative growth in the various sectors and define specific strategies.
For this reason, we have established a “Permanent Working Group” to assess a number of strategic hypotheses.
Increase operational scale and foster aggregation processes among cooperatives.
Work across supply chains to foster greater “system-wide” integration, in keeping with the sixth cooperative principle: cooperation among cooperatives.
Digitalization, sustainable development, and the circular economy as investment paradigms.
Equity rather than debt to strengthen the capitalization of cooperatives.
Organize demand for investment and financial needs.
Develop proposals for the establishment of advisory services to support cooperatives.
