Urban and Territorial Regeneration. A Supply-Chain Vision

Urban and Territorial Regeneration activities represent a best practice for building cross-sectoral projects, engaging cooperatives from different sectors in an ongoing dialogue with public authorities and other non-cooperative private entities.Through Urban and Territorial Regeneration processes, we are able to develop cross-sectoral activities with a supply-chain vision. The projects implemented so far have involved the following sectors: Legacoopsociali, CulTurMedia, Legacoop Produzione & Servizi, and Legacoop Abitanti.Urban and Territorial Regeneration interventions are effectively integrated into Social Innovation and sustainability pathways, attracting EU and financial resources (inner areas and green communities are a few examples).Furthermore, they serve as a testing ground for a direct, open relationship with the national government on housing issues, where we are already playing a leading role in the committees promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure.Since 2019, through the regional sector Legacoop Abitanti, we have been coordinating the “Urban and Territorial Regeneration Board”. This initiative allows public and private entities—such as the Regional Government, Municipalities, representative associations, third-sector organizations, and the research world—to engage and connect in an informal setting. The experience of the Board has enabled, and will continue to enable in the future through its program of activities, the consolidation of a national network of expertise. This network was built around the “Glossary” project published by Donzelli, which will be structured into a permanent website/platform.The Glossary of Urban and Territorial Regeneration is a tool we created to promote a clear and shared understanding of key concepts related to regeneration. Explaining over one hundred terms, the Glossary aims to resolve ambiguities in technical language, fostering a more conscious and effective approach to the regeneration process. First published in September 2022, this volume continues to evolve through an ongoing “work in progress,” with updates and new entries on the way.Discover the Glossary of Urban and Territorial Regeneration platform.
